Story

Diptyque revisits its iconic ribbed candle holder through a new pairing of borosilicate glass with a porcelain tray that echoes the Maison’s signature oval. The glass bell recalls the jars collected by founder Christiane Gautrot at the original boutique on Boulevard Saint-Germain, where laboratory objects were transformed into everyday poetry.

Renowned for its strength and clarity, the glass magnifies the flame’s aura, gathering it into crystalline reflections. The sculpted porcelain tray completes a poetic landscape for the candle ceremony.

Know-how

Borosilicate glass and biscuit porcelain stand among the Maison’s essential materials, each shaped through the art of fire. In Vendée, France, artisans blow the glass to achieve both its strength and transparency. The porcelain is fired to a velvety matte finish that reflects its high-temperature origins. Together they embody precision, consistency and mastery, all in service of the flame and its ceremony.

Directions for use

To enjoy your candle holder safely and for as long as possible:
- Stop using a candle when less than 5 mm of wax remains in the glass jar or if you can see the metal wick base.
- Do not leave a burning candle in the candle holder for longer than 4 hours at a time.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended in the candle holder.
- Never move the candle holder when the candle inside is lit or when the wax is still liquid.
- Never place a burning candle near a draught or directly on delicate surfaces.
- Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets and away from fabrics.

Cleaning instructions:
- Clean the tray with warm water and soap.
- The glass dome is dishwasher-safe.
