Hand-crafted by master porcelain makers in Portugal, this large tray is the perfect table centre decoration. It can also be used as a receptacle for post, or for bringing in the main dish at dinner. A decorative object with an iconic design that pays tribute to the Basile motif, created in 1963 by Christiane Gautrot, one of the three founders of Diptyque.

Story

Timeless, Art Deco-inspired design.
Impactful black and white, curves that unfurl, and playful geometric patterns: the Basile design has been embodying the Diptyque house style since the sixties, unfolding in a series of sweeping lines across plates, a pocket change tray, and walls.

Nestled in the city of Aveiro, Portugal, the NG Porcelanas Manufacture has been producing some of the most exquisite, reputed porcelain in all of Europe. Unique creations, period reproductions, custom orders…these masters of porcelain - a cherished part of the country’s cultural heritage - produce their chefs d’oeuvres with infinite precision and rigor.
