THE MANUFACTURE DE DIGOIN: SET IN STONE
Built in 1875 on the banks of the Canal du Centre, the Manufacture de Digoin lies at the heart of what was once known as Ceramics Valley due to the number of stone workshops that called the region home. Powered by a team of passionate craftsmen, the Burgundy company now makes sandstone paste pieces, with each item bearing the workshop’s stamp in a mark of guaranteed quality and excellence. The pieces here are baked at 1250°C, in a finishing touch that ensures the items withstand the test of time. The Manufacture de Digoin’s age-old expertise prompted Diptyque to entrust it with making a collection of small dishes, poetically reminiscent of garden flowers.
