A sophisticated combination of woody essences, warm as a fire in the fireplace. This scented candle with five wicks is a hymn to wintertime. In its elegant terracotta vessel - designed and hand-crafted at the Virebent factory - it evokes the fragrance of logs, crackling as they are slowly consumed in flame. Its five flames dance and flicker, filling larger indoor and outdoor spaces with scent.

Our candles are produced in our factory in the south of France, where the wax is poured by hand into a handcrafted terracotta pot.

All our candle jars are designed to last and can be reused over and over again. Use our accessories to give them a new lease of life.

The ceramic jar is not recyclable. If you do not wish to reuse it, please dispose of it along with your household waste.

Story

The "indoor and outdoor" scented candle pot was designed in partnership with Virebent, a renowned porcelain manufacturer. Earthenware was chosen for its rustic and artisanal character, which gives body and life to the brand's iconic oval. Entirely handmade, each candle is presented in a signature hat box, perfect to present as a gift.

Please note the level of wax in the candle can vary. This is due to the hand-crafted nature of the candles.

Directions for use

The candle can be used indoors and outdoors.

How to use your candle ?

When using the candle for the first time, leave it to burn for 4 hours, until all the wax has become liquid on the surface.

- Cut the wick regularly (ideal length between 3 and 5mm).
- Ensure that the wick is straight and centred when putting out the flame.
- We recommend airing out your indoor space after burning a candle.

Sustainable jar : The iconic Diptyque candle jar is sustainable and reusable. Once the wax has been used up, you can use once more as a practical and decorative container to bring character to your workspace, to organise your things elegantly in the bathroom, or to enhance your living room.

The art of Ceramics

Diptyque’s large “indoor and outdoor” candles contain 1.5 kg of wax. Designed to perfume both the home and the garden, these art objects must be as robust as they are beautiful. Their glazed stoneware pots, composed of a waterproof clay that withstands frost, are made in the workshops of Porcelaine du Lot Virebent, a porcelain manufacturer set up in 1924 in Puy l’Evêque, in the south of France, whose artisans have mastered the age-old techniques of the ceramic arts.
