Designed for Diptyque by the Jean-Marc Gady studio, this decorative object is produced in the valley of Bresle by a master glassmaker. In this candle holder, with its echoes of the lens invented by Augustin Fresnel, the flame of the candle is diffracted to create a halogen lamp effect – a metamorphosis in light. The object rests on a stand made of glass.

Story

Of plumes and scrolls.
Twists, turns, and lines collide on a series of pieces that ripple with crystalline movement.
A pared-back, translucent medley of matchstick holders, candle holders, and glass accessories that let the light spill through, waxing and waning as the day drifts by to bring your interiors to life in a wave of dancing light.

Directions for use

To ensure safety, quality and durability when using the candle holder, please observe the following rules:

- Do not light the candle when less than 5 mm of wax remains, or when the tripod supporting the wick is visible.
- Do not leave a candle lit for more than 4 hours at a time in the candle jar.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended in the candle jar.
- Never move the candle-holder when the candle is lit or when its wax is still liquid.
- Do not place a burning candle in a draught, or in direct contact with a precious surface.
- Keep out of reach of children, pets and textiles.

Cleaning instructions: clean the piece with a slightly damp soft cloth.

Founder of modern optics, Augustin Fresnel is the inventor of the lens that allows the headlights to diffract the light and propel it powerfully to the furthest boats. This technology is intertwined with the 34 collection thanks to the glassmaker Waltersperger and Studio Jean-Marc Gady, who makes the photophore via a semi-automatic process,before being completed by hand. An exceptional object to amplify the aura of his house.
